检查口（checkhole，checkpipe）指的是带有可开启检查盖的短管，装设在排水立管及较长水平管段上，作检查和清通之用。 　　检查口一般装于立管，供立管与横支管连接处有异物堵塞时清掏用，多层或高层建筑的排水立管上每隔一层就应装一个，检查口间距不大于10m。但在最底层和设有卫生器具的两层以上坡顶建筑物的最高层必须设置检查口，平顶建筑可用通气口代替检查口。另外，立管如装有乙字管，则应在乙字管上部设检查口。当排水横支管管段超过规定长度时，也应设置检查口。检查口设置高度一般从地面至检查口中心1m为宜。
