insertingthebatteryoradopter
on the front of theelectronicscontroller, slide the battery door open. connect andinsert a new9volt alkaline battery. then slide the battery doorback intoplace. battery life is up to 4 weeks. we recommendswitching theshock mat off when not in use.

locating the device
to operate properly the mat must befullyunfolded and not folded back on itself. the surface on whichit isplaced should be electrically non-conductive and dry. do notleaveobjects on top of the mat.
switching thestayawaymaton:
to switch on, momentarily pressandrelease the pushbutton switch. the lights will periodicallyflashto indicate it is switched on.
important: thestayaway mat needs to calibrate itself to the surface on which itisplaced. calibration occurs when you switch the controller fromoffto on. whenever you change the mat`s location you must switchthecontroller off. wait 20 seconds. switch the controller on. donottouch or move the mat for the next 60 seconds whilecalibrationtakes place.
switching the petmatoff:
press﹠hold the pushbutton switch for3seconds, then release. the led will flash three times withthreetimes bb sound and long bb sound to confirm youselectedoff.
testing the stayawaymat
1.      pressingthe power switch until the power indicator lightkeepslighting.
2.      touchthe stay away mat with the side of your hand, ratherthan yoursensitive fingertips, to test its operation.
3.      oncethe stay away mat senses your touch, its action bbsound, and sendsstatic pulses to the stay away mat for 3 seconds,you will feel thepulses if you leave your hand touching across 2wires.
4.      ifonly the pet step on the stay away mat ,touch the wirewith itslegs, will cause the static pulses.
