this is a dual-mode bluetooth 4.0 low energy module which can be connected to traditional bluetooth radio products as well as the new generation ofbluetooth low energy devices. it is based on csr8510 chip set which provide hci application interface through uart that can be used in conjunction with a host controller who runs the specificbluetooth stack software to fit various applications. the on board antenna eliminate the need of matching circuit on the main board and therefore save the costs of production test. besides the uartinterface, there is usb interface that allow the module to connect to a host system as bluetooth dangle and hence enable it to communicate with new generation of bluetooth low energydevices.
