三七皂苷可活血祛瘀，通脉活络，具有抑制血小板聚集和增加脑血流量的作用。三七皂苷内含人参皂苷rb1,人参皂苷rg1,三七皂苷r1等单体皂苷,其可不同程度地减少体内自由基含量。本品为五加科植物三七panax notoginseng (burk.) f. h. chen的干燥根经加工制成的提取物，主要含三七皂苷r1，人参皂苷rg1，人参皂苷re等三醇组皂苷，含有少量或者微量二醇组皂苷。
