不锈钢丸也称不锈钢钢丸、不锈抛圆钢丝切丸、不锈钢抛丸、不锈钢丝切丸，主要用于不锈钢件、铝合金压铸件、铜合金件的表面抛丸、喷砂、喷丸处理。不锈不锈钢丸的生产法可分为两类，目前公认的第一类制作方法是经熔炼雾化冷却得到的铸造不锈钢丸，英文名为：cast stainless steel shot，第二类制作方法是不锈钢钢丝经切割、抛圆得到不锈钢丸、不锈抛圆钢丝切丸、不锈钢抛丸，采用第二类方法制作的不锈钢抛丸，英文名为：“conditioned stainless steel cut wire shot”，直译为：“钝化的不锈钢丝切丸”，其中钝化代表将圆柱状两端棱角抛圆；不锈钢丝代表原料；切丸代表切割制成。为此德国和国际标准化组织专门制定相应第二类方法生产的产品标准：din8021-4-1985、sae ams 2431/4-1996 conditioned stainless steel cut wire shot，标准中并规定柱状不锈钢丝切丸经抛丸钝化后的不锈钢丸的圆球度分别用g1、g2、g3标识表示。 　　经经熔炼雾化冷却得到的铸造不锈钢丸主要有美国ervin公司和德vulkan公司。用不锈钢钢丝经切割、抛圆大量生产g1、g2、
g3类型不锈钢丸，早在1980年代开始，德国frohn公司、美国pelletsllc公司、德国kramer公司、罗马尼亚chircu等公司，1993年山东莒县泰峰金属制品有限公司在国内首家采用第二类方法生产不锈钢丸。 　　在国内外，采用第一种方法的企业约7家（中国有4家），采用第二种方法的企业约40家（中国有35家、集中浙江、江苏、山东、广东、重庆等地）。主要化学成分：（碳，硅，锰，镍，铬，磷，硫） 　　规 格：（0.1--3.0) 　　形 状：（球形，圆柱形） 　　硬 度：（240--600hv） 　　材 质： (奥氏体不锈钢, 铁素体不锈钢,马氏体不锈钢)
