聚丙烯酰胺作用于煤炭工业的洗煤过程
在原煤的生产中，有一部分煤是通过处理煤泥水付选出来的。浮选精煤时在过滤之前添加聚丙烯酰胺，能够增加过滤速度和滤饼的重量，从而提高生产能力。
煤泥水经过聚丙烯酰胺处理之后，这样既可以回收大量的煤泥，又可以防止黑水的污染，并且能够使煤矿实现节约用水。
我国是世界上的煤炭生产国和消费国，也是目前世界上仅有的4个以煤为主要能源的国家之一，据统计，在我国探明的一次能源资源中，煤炭资源占比高达73.4%，水电占22.2%，石油天然气占4.4%。
