thermal desorption (td) is a highly versatile, sensitive and labour-saving sample introduction technique for gc and gc/ms. it combines selective concentration enhancement with direct extraction into the carrier gas. extracted analytes are then efficiently transferred/injected into the gc(ms) or alternative vapour analyser. all this takes place in one fully automated operation.
